Charles Mcmichael (Mike) Whittam was born on May 11, 1939. He spent his early years in California where he graduated from San Clemente High School. In the early sixties he met Kathleen Lollar in college in Arizona and they married in '64. They moved to Oregon where he began to work for the State Parks Commission. He was diagnosed with cancer in 1987, and went into surgery on his wife's birthday. He died later that month on October, 27th. On January 15, 1990, Parcel “B” of the Keizer Little League Park was designated as ‘Mike Whittam Park’ in recognition of the many ways he served the Keizer community including serving as Chair of the Parks Advisory Board for several years. He is buried at Claggett Cemetery, Keizer, Marion County, Oregon

PFC Ryan J Hill Park was dedicated November 8, 2013. Keizer native, Army PFC Ryan J. Hill died in action in Iraq on January 20, 2007. Ryan, 20, was killed when an improvised explosive device detonated near his vehicle while he was in Baghdad. He joined the Army in 2005 and deployed the next year to Iraq.
