America's roadways are busy during late summer and over Labor Day weekend. To help keep drivers safe, members of the Keizer Police Department will participate in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over awareness campaign (August 16th – September 4th) sponsored by the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  


Nationally, in 2022, there were 13,524 fatalities in motor vehicle traffic crashes in which at least one driver was alcohol-impaired. If you go out and include alcoholic beverages in your celebration, please plan to have a designated driver. Additional information information can be found at the NHTSA website:
