Summary: After high school, I enlisted in the United States Air Force, where I served as a law enforcement specialist for 4 years. Upon completion of my military service, I entered Portland State University and received my BS in Elementary Education. I taught for Portland Public Schools for 7 years.

I then decided to relocate to the Salem Area, and going through the small city of Keizer in 1993, I noticed how far different this town was than the big city from where I came. Everything about Keizer was “WOW” from the little league fields to the High School to the residents. I never looked back. This became my home.

I immediately rolled up my sleeves and began volunteering for little league, soccer, my daughters’ schools and realized how awesome it was to have so many parents willing to volunteer and put the time and effort it takes to raise a family. I have since served on the :

  • Parks Advisory Board
  • Volunteer Coordinating Committee
  • Keizer Urban Renewal Board
  • Membership in the Keizer Chamber of Commerce

I am currently serving on the Keizer Parks Foundation Board where we are raising funds to help fund our parks in Keizer.

During my tenure on these volunteer committees I have been committed and worked tirelessly to help improve our community in positive ways.

By working together we can make Keizer an even better city for everyone, while keeping the cost of services as low as possible.
