City of Keizer Seeks Public Comment on Proposed Increases to Police Services Fee and Parks Services Fee

The City of Keizer is inviting community members to provide public comment on proposed amendments to the Police Services Fee and Parks Services Fee 


The Police Services Fee and Parks Services Fee were established in 2017.  The fees are bi-monthly and charged to each residential and non-residential location in the City of Keizer. 

 

Parks Services Fee: The Parks Services Fee is used to repair, maintain and improve Park locations within the City of Keizer and has not been adjusted since the fee was added in 2017. 

 

Police Services FeeThe Police Services Fee is used to provide funding for police operations, primarily police department officer staffing, and was last adjusted January 1, 2024. 

 

Public Participation: The Budget Committee will discuss the proposed fees on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., and the community is encouraged to provide input. The Budget Committee may also meet on May 15, 2025, if needed.  Written comments can be submitted to the Budget Committee via email at bissetm@keizeror.gov or hand delivered at City Hall, 930 Chemawa Road NE or may be provided during the public comment period at the Budget Committee Meetings on Monday, May 12 and Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. The deadline for written public comment is 3:00 p.m. the day of the meeting.
