CODE ENFORCEMENT - Community Development

Keeping Keizer beautiful is the responsibility of every citizen, young and old.  It is a responsibility that goes beyond basic ordinance requirements, reaching instead to higher community standards that will reduce crime and increase the livability of our neighborhoods. The City of Keizer Development Code and City Ordinances contain regulations for such items as abandoned vehicles, solid waste on private property, noxious vegetation etc. Information here has been developed to assist citizens in identifying some of their property maintenance responsibilities and when to report violations.

This past year the Department lost a fulltime Code Enforcement employee. With this in mind, the Department has been flexible and innovative in balancing the needs of the citizens and City with limited staff resources

If you notice that a violation has occurred you may file a complaint with Code enforcement at the City. Complaints may be filed here or by calling (503) 856-3438.
